In injury matters, counsel often sends a demand to the insurer before or instead of filing suit. Counsel decides what the demand says and asks for. Litigation support makes sure everything behind it is complete, organized and easy to follow.
What usually goes in
- The medical records for every provider, in date order.
- A summary of medical bills by provider, with dates and amounts.
- A medical chronology, if counsel wants one.
- Proof of lost income: pay records, a letter from the employer, tax records.
- Photos, the police or incident report, and witness information.
- Lien and reimbursement information, so counsel knows the full picture.
Check before it goes out
Records requested but not yet received, bills that do not match the records, and treatment that is still ongoing are the usual gaps. Flag them for counsel before the package is final.

Our demand package checklist walks through each piece.
